The Principal, pupils, parents and staff of St Patrick’s Grammar School had further reason to celebrate at the end of August with the publication of more excellent GCSE results for the Armagh school.

In addition to this, a further group of students notched up a tally of 8 or more straight A*/A grades in their GCSE subjects: Kevin Bradley, Woodford Drive, Armagh, Aidan Campbell, Thornleigh, Armagh, Thomas Clarke, Woodford Park, Armagh, Daniel Connolly, Hamiltonsbawn Road, Armagh, Niall Holloway, Rowans Park, Craigavon, Rhys Kelly, Selshion Manor, Portadown, Gareth Mackin, Dundalk Road, Newtownhamilton, Daniel McGuicken, Pinebank, Craigavon, John McManus, Magheryarville Road, Milford, Eoin Metcalfe, Carrigart Manor, Craigavon, Philip Murphy, Ashley Close, Armagh and Fearghal Nugent, Killyfaddy Road, Armagh, leaving them among the top achievers, not only in the school but in Northern Ireland as a whole.

The Headmaster at St Patrick’s, Father Kevin Donaghy, praised his students’ achievements and said that, once again the Year 12 boys at St Patrick’s, like previous Year 12 groups at the school, had achieved excellent GCSE results in a wide range of subjects.

“We are very happy that our students’ GCSE performances have, this year, exceeded recent standards of GCSE results in the school,” said Fr Donaghy.

“I offer my congratulations to all our GCSE students on their results. It is great to see so many of our students achieve the highest grades, A* and A, in such a range of subjects.”
