EXTRA CURRICULAR
EXTRA CURRICULAR

We in St Patrick's believe that the extra-curricular activities play a very important role in development of our students. We encourage all students to take part in as many after school activities as possible. It is fortunate that many members of staff other than P.E specialists are willing to show such as interest and we are able to offer coaching in all the activities indicated.

It is a sign of any good school that extra-curricular activities should flourish. Students who join wholeheartedly in the wider life of the school rarely present problems and usually make excellent academic progress.

EXTRA CURRICULAR

In addition to sporting activities there are societies to encourage interest in computers, Drama, Debating, Quizzes, Languages, Biology, History, Music, Mountaineering, Photography, Business, Literature and Irish. Regular educational visits are arranged to various parts of Europe and to the U.S.A staff and students engage with a large number of local and international charitable causes including the St.Vincent de Paul Society and School Aid Romania.

The school choir, orchestra and music groups cater for many students and they perform at functions and festivals throughout Ireland. An extensive programme of music tuition is available to students at St Patrick's
