St. Patrick’s Grammar School, Armagh, is organising a golf classic on Monday 28th August 2017 at County Armagh Golf Club with the hope of raising funds for school sports and all extra-curricular activities.
We in St. Patrick's believe that extra-curricular activities play a very important role in the development of our pupils. We encourage all pupils to take part in as many after-school activities as possible. It is fortunate that many members of staff, other than PE specialists, give up their free time and are willing to encourage the pupils to be the best in their activity of choice. We continue to offer a vast range of extra-curricular activities catering to all sections of the school community.
It is a sign of any good school that extra-curricular activities should flourish. Pupils who join wholeheartedly in the wider life of the school rarely present problems and usually make excellent academic progress.
St. Patrick’s has a proud tradition of past and present pupils representing their county teams at various under age and senior levels, some going on to win All-Ireland medals in recent years with both Armagh and Tyrone. The school also has an excellent tradition of pupils representing Ireland in the Compromised Rules teams that play for the Cormac McAnallen Cup, named in honour of one the schools illustrious past pupils and also the Shinty/Hurling International Series.
Many of our pupils take part in extra-curricular activities throughout the school year and we are very proud of the impact this has had on the holistic development of all our students.
The costs involved in running these activities are increasing year by year and with school budgets continually being reduced, we seek your assistance in continuing the traditions of St. Patrick’s. We are seeking a donation of £200 for the sponsorship of a tee or green for the classic and/or £300 for sponsorship and four ball. We would greatly appreciate your support for the school.
In return for your sponsorship, we would be promoting your company on the day and also in all local media, school Twitter and Facebook and your logo will be displayed in the school PE department for all the school to see.
We do hope that this is something you might be willing to consider.
