St Patrick’s Grammar has a range of excellent facilities for the students to enjoy. These include:
STUDY HALL
The Study Hall is a facility for Year 13 and Year 14 students to study in a quiet environment during periods when they are not timetabled for class. In total it can cater for 120.
There are 20 computers for students to use for computer based work. The tables in Study can accommodate four students per table. Study facilities are also available to Year 12 students during study leave.
We offer a supervised evening study facility that students from Years 12 – 14 can use. We have a large number from Portadown, Lurgan and South Armagh and the study time after school is geared around those who have to travel late on buses.
The times of evening study are 3:40pm – 5:30pm Monday to Thursday. This is a very worthwhile study and students in the past that have used this facility have gained top marks in their GCSE’s and A-Levels. During the month of January there is an additional late study which runs from 6:30pm – 8:30pm to accommodate those students sitting AS/A2 modules. There is no charge for this facility.
Easter Study is also available each year and runs from Tuesday to Friday of Easter week, 9:15am – 3:30pm; this is available to students in Years 12 – 14. Again this is offered free of charge.
